What it is

What is Everpeak Estimating?

A cost estimating tool built on your own historical project costs. We take the records you already have (invoices, timesheets, supplier bills, past estimates) and turn them into a structured cost database you can estimate from. Instead of guessing at unit rates or carrying last year's numbers forward, you price your next project from what your past work actually cost you.

Who is it for?

Contractors and corporations pricing major civil work in BC, starting with sitework and civil companies in Greater Vancouver: excavation, underground utilities, roadworks, site servicing. It is built for the project managers and estimators pricing data-heavy projects, whether you self-perform or run subcontractors. We also work on buildings.

Where does the AI come in?

Three places. First, ingestion: our pipeline maps most of your cost lines, and AI reads whatever the pipeline cannot place, in whatever shape it arrives, including lines a standard import would choke on. Second, a chatbot that answers questions against your own data, so you can ask what you paid for 200 mm PVC last spring instead of digging through folders. Third, the estimate itself: the system flags the questions you should be asking before you submit a number.

Does it replace HeavyBid, or sit beside it?

It sits beside it. HeavyBid is where you build and submit the estimate. Everpeak is where the cost data behind it comes from: we hand your own project numbers back to you in a structured form you can price from. HeavyBid import is in development, through your own HCSS account or an export file.

Getting started

What do we need to send you to start?

Whatever you have: past estimates, invoices, timesheets, supplier quotes, project cost reports. Exports from your accounting system are ideal but not required. If it has a cost and a project attached to it, we can use it.

Do we have to clean up our files first?

No. Messy is expected. Mixed formats, scans, spreadsheets with three headers: that is the normal starting point. Cleaning it up is the work we do.

How long until we can estimate from it?

About one month from the day your files land with us. The first two weeks are ingestion and mapping. The last two are review with you, so you can confirm the rates look right before anyone prices a tender from them.

How many past projects do we need?

Five to start. We map those, walk you through the result to confirm we are reading your data the way you read it, then take on the rest.

What happens to lines your pipeline cannot map?

Pipeline first, then AI, then a person. Anything the automated pass cannot place with confidence goes to AI for a second look, and anything still unresolved gets reviewed by a person before it enters your dataset. Nothing gets silently dropped or guessed at.

BC and units

Does it use MMCD items?

Yes. Every cost line is mapped to an MMCD item, and BC MoTT items are supported. Your own codes are mapped once: you confirm the first mapping, and from then on it is automatic.

Is it metric?

Yes, metric and Canadian dollars from the first screen, with GST and PST handled the way BC does it. Imperial quantities in your old files are converted once, and the source unit stays on the record.

Your data

Is our data used for anything other than our estimates?

Your projects build your estimates and nothing else. Anything we publish is aggregated, with nothing that points back to you: never your name or your prices. Context you add, such as ground conditions, access or why a contract was lost, stays in your account only.

Can we get our data out?

Yes. Ask and you get everything back, or deleted.

The numbers on this site

Are the projects and rates shown on this site real?

No. Every project, rate and quantity on this site is invented and labelled as sample data. The MMCD item numbers are real.
